Reports on the visit to heart of Dorcas Children Centre

                   💡💡THE GENESIS 💡💡

The 22nd of April 2017 was a day to write about as the CREATIVE MINDS INITIATIVE, launched her campaign EMPOWER A LESS PRIVILEGE, at the HEART OF DORCAS
CHILDREN CENTRE, ADO EKITI.
Regardless of the unavailability of a larger percentage of the children due to the fact that they were spending the break with their Forster parents. The project was indeed an exceptional one as the Founder, Children and teachers were delighted to receive us.

It was an interactive session between us and the kids, as we asked several questions from them which includes Name, Class, Age, future ambition e. t. c.
We had several sessions with them and we couldn't have the entrepreneurship session because of the unavailability of the majority, in which we assure them o our return.

Among the session was an enlightenment session by the director CMI Alex Ayo, he said "they are in here not to think of limiting their success, but they a here to discover their purpose on earth and work hard toward being successful and useful to the world". Among others...

We also had a quiz competition between four of the kids, they were divided into group A and B, consisting of two kids in each group. The quiz was a standard common entrance examination questions, To our amazement they attempted all questions and answered correctly 80% of the question. At the end Group A won with a margin of 6 points.

A spelling contest was held among the two group as well, this time it was almost a tie but group A managed to win again with a point.

We end the session with an advice, encouragement and appreciation from the founder of the orphanage home.

OUR CONCLUSION;

In order to have a sustainable impact, CMI decided to:

✅Reward the 4 contestants with a pair of sandal and school uniform each.

✅Be available seldomly to take the primary 5 pupils on tutorial for their common entrance examination.

✅Reward a 2 year old boy who recite the state and capital with confidence. ..

✅Among others.....

OUR PLEA TO THE GENERAL SOCIETY..

What we see in those kids were positivity despite the unfavorable odds surrounding them, they showed passion, Zeal and enthusiasm towards a bright future for themselves and for the community.

Our presence alone will make them happy, check them comfort them and assist in your little way, if you can't do it alone kindly join the CMI we will work together to help them discover their purpose on earth.

We are Illuminators and we strongly believe in their abilities, we have a strong believe in their passion as a tool towards social integration, community development and above all a more prosperous Nigeria that is free of discrimination and prejudice.
